Gourmet sea salt’s elegant appearance, complex flavor and moist texture add unique tastes in sweet and savory culinary creations!

This delightful Herbes de Provence and Meyer Lemon Sea Salt include a combination of fresh and dried herbs typically found in southern France. Like many of the seasoning blends of the same name, I’ve also added organic culinary lavender to the mix. Lavender adds a wonderful floral aroma, a delightful taste on the palette and beautifully complements sweet and savory culinary creations.

Even though, this blend uses fresh herbs, it will keep quite well in the cupboard or kitchen counter for several weeks — at least! The low moisture and the sea salt itself both help preserve it, even at room temperature.

Ingredient (makes two 4 oz. jars), Pic. 1
1 Cup high quality organic sea salt
1 Tsp. Dried herbes de Provence
1 Tsp. Dried or fresh organic culinary lavender buds
1 Tsp. Fresh thyme leaves
1 Tsp. Fresh oregano leaves
1 Tsp. Fresh marjoram leaves
1 Tbsp. Meyer lemon or lemon rinds

Instructions:

1.        Loosely chop all of the fresh herbs and put them in a shallow plate or a bowl, pic. 2.

2.       Add dry herbes de Provence, culinary lavender, Meyer lemon or lemon rinds, sea salt and   toss them with a couple of spoon until the mixture is well blended, pics. 3 & 4.

3.       Put the sea salt mixture in a glass container and store in a cool and dry place.

This tasty homemade gourmet sea salt and a handmade label make a beautiful and unique culinary gift for friends and family too.

Happy Cooking & Baking!

Whether you’re a novice gardener or just getting into it, starting an herb garden will bring you lots of joy without much hard work as herbs are able to grow in a variety of conditions.

Select the Herbs for Your Herb Garden - Once you decide you want to start an herb garden; you need to pick what herbs you’d like to grow in your herb garden. You can either start with seeds or starter plants, depending on your preference. There is a wide variety of herbs to choose from for your herb garden, including: Basil, Chives, Mint, Coriander, Dill, Fennel, Tarragon, Parsley, Rosemary, Sage, Oregano, Thyme, Marjoram, Lemon Verbena and Culinary Lavender.

There’s a lot you can do with herbs. basil, chives, thyme, marjoram and oregano add a punch of flavor to savory dishes, while lavender and herbs like rosemary add both floral aroma and flavor to many sweet dishes. For tea or cocktails, mint and lemon verbena are especially refreshing.

How to Harvest Herbs from Your Herb Garden - When it comes to harvesting your herbs, the more you pick, the more you will get, so harvest often. It’s also important to harvest before your herbs start flowering because you’ll get more flavorful, better tasting herbs before the plants start to flower so make sure to check how much they’re yielding.

Whether you plan to use fresh herbs in a recipe, or dry them to use later, growing them yourself ensures that you’ll have plenty of flavorful herbs ready at your fingertips.

Simple & Practical Bedroom Feng Shui Tips!

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and St. Valentine and I thought it’s a great time to share some bedroom Feng Shui Tips!

So, as you first set out on your self-love journey to make your bedroom clutter-free,  serene and romantic, hence to promote peaceful restenriched love life and happy Relationships, consider your it not an imposed chore, but rather a Valentine's Day Gift to Yourself!

Declutter Your Bedroom. Make your bedroom clutter-free, serene and romantic to promote peaceful restenhanced love life and happy relationships! Keep what's essential and let go of any items that have no relevance to Serenity, Love and Romance. Remove items such as electronics devices, bookshelves, work desk, pictures, objects and art forms (from the past and present) that do not represent, invite, promote or attract Love and Unity.

Always Have Two Nightstands. Nightstands represent the power dynamics within the relationship. You want a nightstand on each side of the bed, even if you are single (this helps to attract an equal partner). The nightstands should be of equal stature and the same goes for anything sitting on the nightstands, such as lamps.

Place Your Bed in the Right Spot - Every room has a power spot. This is where the optimal energy is within a room and also where you want to place your bed. The headboard should have a solid wall behind it for energetic support. There should be equal access on both sides of the bed. When lying in the bed, you should be able to see the doorway and anyone coming into the room. Not every bedroom has the luxury of meeting all these criteria, so try out different bed placements and notice which one feels the best.

Bring Tranquility into Your Bedroom. Choose calming colors such as light blue or soft lavender. Splurge on Quality Bedding too! Get some high quality sheets, comforter, blanket and duvet covers with soft and nourishing texture that you want to snuggle up in.

Encourage Sensuality in your life. The sensual pleasure directly involves our senses with things such as the heavenly scent of lavender on your pillow, how wonderful it feels to slip into soft and silky sheets, a warm ocean breeze against your skin, the splendor of a sunrise or sunset, or the sound of a familiar and loving voice. Sensuality is an art and you are the artist! When you encourage sensuality by appreciating and enjoying simple pleasures, you invite, attract, promote and enhance love and romance into your life, whether you are single or in a relationship shouldn’t matter! You must master the art of being a sensual lover in order to attract or to keep one!

Most of All, Be Awesome and Love Yourself Without Limits!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

New Year Inspirations!

Happy New Year!

New Year resolutions can be stressful and not necessarily attainable, even though we may try our very best to achieve them. Since, the aim of life is living to the fullest, therefore, it’s best that we do not add nor contribute to more stress in our lives.

Personally, I stopped making new year resolutions many years ago and instead practice and promote the following inspirations in my own life and the lives of others:

Love Yourself Without Limits!

Choose To Be Awesome – No matter what you choose in life, there is always a possibility that you might disappoint yourself and/or others. Keep in mind that you can’t please yourself, and/or others at all times, however, you can always choose to be awesome no matter what!

Be Fearless – Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood. When you dare to face the things that scare you, you open the door to endless possibilities. Don't be afraid to take the steps you need to take to make positive changes in your life.

Refresh Your Network & Surround Yourself with Positive People – Let go of negative, judgmental, controlling, self-centered, demanding and basically toxic people (not easy to do, since, some of these people are our family members, friends, neighbors, or people we work or do business with, but with practice, we all can do it). Instead  surround yourself with positive people, the dreamers, inspirers, doers, makers, shakers, movers, creators, achievers, inventors, collaborators and aim to be one yourself!

Wishing you a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2021!
