Amplify Your Success: Remove Visual and Digital Clutter!

Overwhelmed with visual and digital clutter? Does this picture look all too familiar to you? Well, you are not alone; we all have some form of a clutter. Visual and digital clutter have a direct impact on your efficiency, productivity, the power of decision making and ultimately your success. Spend a couple of hours this week clearing out your desk and reducing digital clutter.
Assess what’s on your desk - Ask yourself when looking at an item:
• Do I need it or use it regularly?
• Does it energize or inspire me?
• Does it enhance my efficiency and productivity?
• Does it contribute to my success and prosperity?
• Let go of those items that don’t pass.
Declutter your computer and communication devices:
Get rid of useless apps, programs, old emails, VMs, etc. Organize desktop icons too.
Finally, the best thing you can do to deal with digital clutter is to designate as few as five minutes each day to deal with downloads, email, apps, and whatever else crosses your digital workspace. Get rid of what you don’t need immediately, so you don’t have to spend hours sifting through it down the road.
Visual clarity brings calm to the mind and body, and empowers you to successfully manage your work, business, hence your life.
Happy Decluttering.

Amazing Chocolate Lovers Students!

Greetings Chocolate and Wine Lovers Students!

Yesterday in my class, not only you discovered how incredibly creative you are, you also learned that organic culinary herbs, flowers (lavender included), candied orange peel, dried delicate fruits such as blueberry, freeze dried raspberry and fleur de sel beautifully compliment dark chocolate and are perfect for making chocolate arts

With your beautiful present and great spirit, you made my Vegan Artisan Chocolate and Wine Pairing class on Saturday December 10th a total blast! Thank you!

You let your creativity freely flow and made amazing chocolate arts, which you enjoyed with lavender lemon verbena tea, French roast coffee infused with Provence culinary lavender and a Château de Seguin Bordeaux Superieur 2013, a lovely red wine from the south of France.

Thank you Skyler Li, the amazing young violinist by delighting us with Vivaldi's magical music. Such a lovely treat! And how wonderful that you won the bottle of the Château de Seguin Bordeaux Superieur 2013, which we raffled in the class! I love what you said: “I’ll save it until I’m at the age that I could drink it and I’m sure it will be even better then.”  You are a future French wine enthusiast, so fabulous!

Thank you my amazing students. You Rock!

Aspiring Young French Pastry Chefs Rocked the B-Day Party!

Amazing Aspiring Young French Pastry Chefs Rocked the B-Day Party!

I has ton of fun celebrating Cassie's b-day party with aspiring young pastry chefs who love Paris. We made mini persimmon lavender galettes and artisan chocolate tartlets. We also enjoyed listening to French music and dancing in addition to practicing a handful of French phrases while baking and when I was leaving, they all said "bonne nuit Ellie."

These aspiring French pastry chefs and culinary artists are simply a gift to all of us!

And the beautiful sweet b-day girl gifted me with my 1st ever lavender Christmas ornament now on my tree, a beautiful lavender theme wool scarf & a lovely whimsical pin (I couldn't wait until Christmas, so I opened my presents).

Love thoughtful parents who make their children's b-day meaningful, creative and fun.

Happiness is doing what you love, loving what you do and inspire others to the same.

Holiday Recipe: Apple Cranberry Lavender Tart

Apples and cranberries are a delightful combination, and adding organic culinary lavender flowers makes them even more wonderful. This is a vegan and gluten-free tart recipe. I recently discovered substituting butter with olive oil makes my recipes even better.

Ingredients (all organic):
  1. 3 medium apples (washed, peeled & chopped)
  2. 1/2 cup fresh/frozen/raw cranberries
  3. 1 Tsp. Meyer lemon zest
  4. 1/3 cup honey
  5. 1 /2 Tsp. lavender flowers
  6. cup toasted slivered almonds
  7. 1 1/2 cup instant oats
  1. Preheat oven to 400F degrees
  2. Sauté apples with olive oil (2 Tbsp.) on medium heat for 5 minutes, add cranberries, honey and Meyer lemon zest. Stir gently and put the mixture aside.
  3. Process half of the almond in a food processor until coarsely chopped, add the oats, and process for another minute, transfer to a bowl, add olive oil and mix with hands.
  4. Place the mixture in a tart shell and press it down to semi-firm
  5. Spread the apples and cranberry mixture over the tart, sprinkle the rest of the almonds and lavender flowers.
  6. Bake 20-25 minutes. Remove to cooling rack and let it cool for 30 minutes before serving.
  7. Enjoy it with a cup of tea or coffee and a scoop of vanilla gelato or just by itself.
Happy Baking!

Declutter Your Relationships & Social Network

One of the hardest things in life is letting go and that’s never easy, but it’s a vital step toward living a happy, healthy, and prosperous life!

Relationships are like bank accounts. If you allow the people in your life to make more emotional withdrawals than deposits, you will soon find yourself with negative equity. You need to know when to close the account!

Declutter your Relationships and Social Network (Let Go of negative and toxic people) to promote the positive flow of energy in your life. This singular act will cultivate Happiness, Health and Prosperity in 2017 and for years to come!

Moving forward, make conscious efforts to practice Self-Love EveryDay and “Surround yourself with the dreamers, and doers, the believers and the thinkers, but most of all surround yourself with those who see the greatness within you, even when you don’t see it yourself.”Edmund Lee

DIY Holiday Gift: Lavender Sugar

Greetings, DIY Enthusiasts:

Now that the holiday shopping season is underway and gift-giving is on our minds, I thought it would be a great time to tell you about lavender sugar, a perfect holiday gift for Lavender lovers and very easy to make. Organic culinary lavender is available in most health foods grocery stores, local lavender farms and herbs stores.

Directions: Place two teaspoons of organic dried lavender flowers, or three short lavender sprigs, in the bottom of a clean glass jar. Pour over enough sugar to fill the jar and cap tightly. Leave for a few days and the sugar will have taken up the fragrance of the lavender.

Lavender sugar can be enjoyed in tea, coffee and baking recipes, and will add a tantalizing flavor to sweet creations.
