Garden's Dried Red Chilli Peppers

Delicious holiday-inspired recipe: Cranberry Orange Cardamom Chutney!

This sweet, tangy and aromatic chutney is easy to make, very delicious and makes a great holiday present too: Christmas in a Jar!

You can enjoy this lovely chutney with roasted root vegetables medley, with creamy vegan cheese on toasted breads or gourmet crackers, on yogurt, on vanilla gelato and much more!

So let’s get started with the recipe:

Ingredients (makes a medium size bowl or two 8 oz. jars):
2 Cups organic fresh cranberries
1 Cup fresh orange juice
1 Tsp. orange rinds
1/3 Cup chopped candied orange peel
1/2 Tsp. ground cardamom
2 Tbsp. sugar

1. Combine all ingredients in a pot and let it simmer for 30-35 minutes over low heat. Stair 3-4 times very gently.

2. Remove from the stove, set aside to cool, transfer to a serving bowl and chill overnight. Garnish with a sprinkle of ground cardamom and a few orange rinds before serving.

3. Put the chutney in a jar and garnish with a dried red chilli pepper to make it more festive and a Christmas in a Jar!

Enjoy & Happy Holidays.
