The Power of Feng Shui!

Feng Shui is the practice of arranging your environment so that energy (chi) flows smoothly through your home and workspace. When the energy (chi) flow is stagnant (clutter), moves too quickly (dark hallways), or is obstructed (unbalanced scale and placement of furniture), it will negatively impact your life.
One of the essential tools in Feng Shui is Bagua map. It provides a blueprint and a formula to improve and enhance nine significant areas in your life: 1) abundance-prosperity, 2) fame-reputation, 3) love-relationship, 4) health-family, 5) balance-harmony, 6) children-creativity, 7) knowledge-self cultivation, 8) career-life purpose, and 9) helpful people-travel.
How Does Feng Shui Work :: The Four Key Steps
1) The 3 E’s - Encourage, Embrace and Enjoy Change in your life! There's no room for adventure, excitement or personal growth when you stay in your comfort zone!
2) Declutter – Let Go
3) Organize – Be Productive
4) Apply the Principles of Feng Shui – Cultivate Happiness and Success
Get inspired! Spend a couple of hours this weekend to declutter one area of your home or workspace.

Vegan Hazelnut Cilantro Pesto Recipe

Homemade pesto is simply the best! You can make this amazingly delicious vegan pesto in 30 minutes or less! Enjoy it in pasta, as a pizza sauce, with olives on toasted bread and even salad dressing. Use a couple of spoon of this pesto, add 1/4 cup of lemon juice and use it over salads and also roasted veggies.

Ingredients:

1. 2 Cups of cilantro leaves washed and drained (use salad spinner). You can substitute cilantro with basil, parsley or dill.
2. 1 Cup toasted hazelnut
3. 1 Cup EVOO
4. 8 Medium size peeled garlic cloves lightly chopped
5. 1/5 Tsp. sea salt
6. 1 Tsp. lemon rind
7. 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Directions:

In a food processor pulse hazelnut a few times until they are chopped coarsely. Add garlic and cilantro and pulse a few more times until they are mixed, but still the texture remains coarse.  So, it is best that you pulse and check the mixture instead of continually pulsing. The intent is to make a rustic pesto so that you can taste and see each ingredients.  Add EVOO, sea salt and lemon juice and pulse additional 3-4 times.  Add lemon rind, juice and mix with a spoon so that the rinds stay intact.

Enjoy!

3 Powerful and Practical Ways to Declutter Your Life

1)  Declutter Your Mind: Don't allow negative thoughts take over your life. Instead, override them with positive ones. I know it's easier said than done, but it's do-able.  For example, as soon as a negative thought comes to your mind, say to yourself, I am not going there, been there, done that, I deserve a lot better and get going by doing something kind and nourishing for yourself.  Love Yourself!

2)  Declutter Your Home and Work Environments: Remove, recycle, donate, trash, sell and let go of items you don't need, use or even like. Clutter generates negative energy in the home and work environments and has a direct negative impact on your physical and emotional wellbeing. You deserve to live and work in a happy, positive and nourishing environment.  Let Go!

3)  Declutter Your Relationships: This is the most important and perhaps the hardest, but absolutely do-able. Identify negative and toxic people in your life by making a list. Then, come up with your own plan of letting them go.  Release!
Oftentimes we avoid cleaning out clutter or letting go because it feels overwhelming and we don’t know where to begin. Or maybe we need some inspiration and empowerment to get started.  Whatever it is that’s holding you back, my Declutter Your Life workshop will help you break past it. The workshop is on January 21, 2017 at Dearhaven Herbs & Flower Farm in magical Bonny Doon.  Registration is now open!

I look forward to seeing you there. Please contact me if you have questions.
