Nestled in magnificent Santa Cruz mountains among majestic redwood trees, Santa Cruz Waldorf School is very special in so many ways! One of the most special things about this beautiful school is their magical garden with its natural habitats. I met their gardening and cooking teacher, Cristina McCutcheon a few months ago and was absolutely impressed with the school's amazing curriculum. I was also delighted to learn of the emphasis school places on students learnings such as gardening, cooking, appreciating natural habitats and more. So, I was super excited to design a cooking session with kids when asked by Cristina.
Yesterday, we had a very delicious and fun class with 14 foodies, current and future enthusiastic chefs, the amazing 7th graders at Waldorf School! We made a Vegan Moroccan Couscous Salad with Lavender Tahini Dressing, which they all loved and promised to make. So, here is the recipe! Enjoy!
