Bay Area Tasting Week at Palo Verde Elementary School by Chef Ellie Lavender

Cooking with future enthusiastic chefs at Palo Verde Elementary School!

Thank you Bay Area Tasting Week for the gift of sharing my cooking passion with the amazing 6th graders at Palo Verde Elementary School in Palo Alto on October 13th! Students were simply amazing! We made a Vegan Moroccan Couscous Salad with Lavender Tahini Dressing, which they all loved and promised to make.  So, here is the recipe! Enjoy!

Bay Area Tasting Week is an association that invites chefs to Bay Area schools to meet children and together discover, enjoy and share new tastes and food. Tasting Week was created by a group of parents from Palo Alto who believe that educating children about taste is the best way to get them to love food and at the same time fight obesity.
